Aerial view of the Wetterstein range with Alpspitze and Zugspitze in winter, evening light

Winter outside.Light inside.

Your hideaway in Garmisch, at the foot of the Hausberg. A quarter of an hour on foot to the Hausbergbahn cable car, ten minutes to the town centre.

Arriving

The car under cover, the skis in the cellar, the key in the safe.

An active day in the snow, and you come home. Skis go in the ski cellar, ski boots on the dryer. One flight of stairs, first floor, door open: 71 square metres, warm oak, light walls, and outside the window the snow-covered winter landscape.

Two bedrooms, a bathroom with tub, a kitchen for cooking together. Room for up to five. For families, for friends, for two couples who want to feel at home.

The Morning

Snowflakes in the sunshine.

The coffee steams, there is snow on the balcony railing, and across the valley the first light traces the ridge of the Alpspitze. The Hausbergbahn is fifteen minutes on foot from here, skis on your shoulder, no car and no hunt for a parking space.

If you would rather walk, the town centre is ten minutes away. If you want the Zugspitze, take the cogwheel railway from the station.

Back from the snow. Warm. Oak, and outside the window the winter.

Coming together

Where everyone comes together to unwind.

When you come down from the mountain, the big dining table is where everyone comes together: cooking, eating, telling stories. Corner sofa, television, a kitchen with everything you need.

Washing machine and dryer for the wet things, and Wi-Fi, of course.

The Bathroom

After the slopes, the tub.

Skis into the cellar first, then a soothing bath. The bright, spacious bathroom also has a shower, if you are in a hurry.

The Night

Two rooms, three beds.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a single bed. Parents with children or two couples each have a room of their own.

The Location

Ideally placed.

The Hausberg Suite lies in the quiet south of Garmisch: residential streets, gardens, a church tower, and the Hausberg behind. From here almost everything is within walking distance, and what is not is a short drive away.

What guests say.

  • We had a wonderful autumn weekend at the Hausberg Suite. Cosy and modern, with everything within easy reach.

    Stephanie Pöcking

  • Coffee on the balcony in the morning with the Alpspitze in view, an inn a few minutes away in the evening. The flat is as quiet and well made as it looks in the photos.

    Markus Munich

  • We came to ski: the flat is perfectly equipped. There is a good ski room with a boot dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. The view from the flat is breathtaking.
